PROCESSING METHOD - Once the knitted piece is made, iron the area you want to thermofix by interlaying a protective cloth between the knitted piece and iron. Do not iron at a temperature higher than 110oC and do not remain for more than one second on the same ironed surface. This procedure helps stretch and smoothen the area for the next pressing and lamination process. Then heat press to the desired effect (see finishing guide) with the use of anti-adherent paper between press and piece. Once the desired effect is achieved, the piece will be water resistant, washable in water at 30oC and suitable for ironing at low temperature.
FINISHING GUIDE - 1) RUBBERY TOUCH - NO LAMINATION treatment is 30 mins, bath ratio 1/20 (material/water), temperature 30oC. 2) LIGHT LAMINATION - 30 seconds of pressing at 120/130oC with anti-adherent paper. 3) MEDIUM LAMINATION - 30 seconds of pressing at 140/150oC with anti-adherent paper. 4) STRONG LAMINATION - 30 seconds of pressing at 170oC and more, with anti-adherent paper. IT IS RECOMMENDED NOT TO EXCEED 180oC
